Support OLIVER’s DCI Dream

Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,

I’m excited and deeply honored to share that I have been offered the opportunity to fulfill a life long dream and march with the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps for the 2026 Drum Corps International (DCI) season. DCI represents the highest level of performance in the marching arts, bringing together elite musicians and performers from across the country. 

As a member of Phantom Regiment, I will spend the summer training, touring, and competing nationwide, performing in more than 20 competitions leading up to the DCI World Championships at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Beginning in late spring 2026, I will travel to spring training, where rehearsals often last 12–14 hours a day as we prepare a world-class production that demands excellence, discipline, and teamwork at every level. From there, we will tour across the United States, performing for thousands of fans and adjudicators throughout the season.

My musical journey has been one of growth and challenge. I began as a trumpet player and earned All-Region honors before making the transition to French horn—an adjustment that required learning a new instrument, new technique, and a new role within the ensemble. That transition pushed me to become a more versatile and committed musician, and it ultimately opened the door to this incredible opportunity with Phantom Regiment.

Marching arts have shaped who I am—instilling discipline, resilience, and a relentless work ethic. The lessons learned through music and performance extend far beyond the field, influencing my academic goals, leadership skills, and personal growth.

Participating in DCI does come with a significant financial commitment. The total cost for the 2026 season, including tuition, housing, meals, travel, and required equipment, is expected to range between $6,000 and $7,000. I am starting from the ground up and will be relying on fundraising and support from my community to make this dream possible.

I am truly grateful for any support you are able to offer. Every contribution—no matter the size—helps move me one step closer to representing Phantom Regiment and performing at the highest level of the marching arts.
